Here is a link to a 20% off coupon for Harbour Freight.

I try to steer clear of chinese products but sometimes you get cornered.
I needed a shop press and looked for about 4 months in Craiglist or Ebay and a local "trader" publication. Finally I broke down and went to harbour freight. But I found a coupon online first.

Use it and help the economy (in China).

HEY! We've got a Harbor Freight in our area, too. You can get good deals there, but be careful. A lot of the tools are not tempered, and some of the stuff is pretty cheap (quality wise). You can find stuff there you can't find anywhere else, but you've got to root around on some of the shelves. ;-). I found a magnet on a flexible goose neck that I've never seen anywhere else (not that I've looked that hard). It works better than the magnets on the radio antenna type wands, because you can bend it into the shape you need to get that *(%*{$)(% nut you dropped into the engine case back out without getting your neighbor Igor to come over and shake your bike upside down...

I buy my grinders from Harbor Frieght. I bought 2 grinders for $60.00 and purchesed the $15.00 warranty. So for $75.00 I got 2 grinders and have returned the worn out broken grinders 4 times and replaced them with new for no additional charge. So in reality, I paid $12.50 for each grinder so far.

Man, you do good work Lairdog. HF is notorious for marginal quality, but I've found if you are careful, you can actually find pretty good deals, like you did. We all get our panties in a twist these days because shit is made in China, but even if you go to a reputable tool store, a lot of the stuff is made there. I'm not making excuses, it's just what it is. Most of the stuff in the US is now made overseas. For instance, all electronics, even if they're well-known American brands, like Magnavox or RCA are all made in Japan or Korea. Even the iPod has a lot of parts made in China.

Well I tried out the HF blaster this weekend & it works great. I loaded it up
with some 70 grit alum. oxide. A buddy of mine just purchased one of these
on the day the sale ended & also got the 20% off as well.

He also got a pretty descent HF engine stand to mount his Buick Nailhead
motor on, paid $40 for it. shit the materials alone would be at least $50 in the US.

like You said Hiway, some of the stuff HF sales is utter crap, But some of it is not.
I hate buying anything overseas, But I try to make up for it with other purchases, for instance,
M/C parts, I buy almost exclusively USA made parts or I make 'em myself. except for the
ocassional electrical part made in mexico or china.
