Hello,

I've replaced the priomary chain in my 1981 HD FLH shovel with a belt. Using a straight edge I'mtrying to lineup the clutch hub with the front sproket...the front sproket sticks out farther then the clutch hub...is there a way to adjust the clutch hub to get it straight with the front sproket?

What's your set up, Glen? Stock primary , motor plate? Someone will chime in, but need a little more info.

Sorry about the poor info...yes it's a stock primary setup, the motor plate and cover is the stock chain drive. I've also just upgraded the charging system, 4 speed tranny, stock clutch set up, the belt is a BDL kit...

Thx,. Glen

Glen, I would call BDL

They may have given you a front pulley with the wrong offset.
(too Much).

If You do anything with the Trans pulley, then you will mess up
your rear wheel allignment.

some of the Belt drive motor pulleys are one piece but most have a
changable offset bushing. I usually use Primo or Karata so I'm not sure
about the BDL if It is one piece or two.
either way I'm sure BDL can figure it out if You give them as much info
about your bike as You can.
