You can buy an army surplus boot like that all day long in the USA for $20. Most of them are cheap copies of the US Armed Services issued boots that are made in the USA. The copies are usually from China or India. Boots that are made with Leather and fabric have a import lower tariff than an all leather boot.

I used my CC to pay for the Georgia logging boots for me and Lin and had them shipped free to Valorie in SC.
She'll post them onto me and I'll refund her the cost of postage.

I chose the Geogia ones because they had good reviews from different websites and people.

They can be re-soled...a main consideration for boots we wear on the bike.

I'll let you know how they last as the months go by.

Total cost was under 200 Oz dollars.

A pair of caterpillars or colorados here is 200 for a single pair.

Jaq, you will be pleased with your Georgia Boots. They are a good boot.(they are also one of my main competitors) My customers sell lots of them and I never hear many complaints.

We'll see how they cope with a week of dirt road riding (nothing extreme) and some hiking.

Have you ever mentioned the name of your boot company?
And I missed it?

What sort of boots do you make?
Got a website?
